Maple Syrup Ice Cream

This easy ice cream is perfect to serve with warm chocolate brownies or just enjoy on it's own.


You will need:


150 ml Maple Syrup

300 ml Double Cream

200 ml Evaporated milk chilled

80 g Walnut pieces (optional)


Method:


♥ Whisk the chilled evaporated milk until thick and doubled in volume

♥ Lightly whip the cream and maple syrup together

♥ Gently fold the cream mixture into the milk

♥ Pour into an ice cream machine and churn.

♥ When almost frozen add the walnut pieces if using


Note: If you don't have an ice cream maker freeze for 1 to 2 hours until just beginning to set. Then remove and fork the mixture. At this point you would add the nuts and then freeze until firm.
